Day 1 – Today was a great first day. We started off the day bright and early at 6 a.m. After a delicious breakfast, we hiked up a huge hill to reach the school. At the school, we participated in chapel where we danced with lots of students and worshipped God together. Then we split up into different groups and helped with English classes and construction work. In the afternoon, we prepared for our vacation Bible school program. We created skits and handed out invitations to people in the community of El Tizate. In the evening, we attended a church service where we got to learn the meaning of true worship. We are ending the day with card games.
