Prayer Partners

Rooted in Prayer

 “For this reason, since the day we heard about you,
we have not stopped praying for you.”

Colossians 1:9

Prayer for MCA is the most strategic tool that we have as a community, whether we are able to pray for our school corporately with one another, within our families or individually. Without the Lord’s help, our efforts will be in vain.

Our faithful prayer partners regularly lift the school up in prayer, asking the Lord to show favour on the work we are called to do. We invite you to join us in this very important work.

Prayer Partners

We have an organized Prayer Partnership network of dedicated friends and grandparents who pray for a specific class. They receive a class photo at the beginning of the year with prayer requests from the teachers. These requests might include things such as:

  • that all the students would be friendly and welcoming;
  • that they would find learning fun and engaging and;
  • that they would continue to grow in God’s grace.

These treasured Prayer Partners mostly live locally or elsewhere in Ontario, but some live in other parts of Canada from B.C. to Newfoundland and Prince Edward Island. Some even live as far away as Colombia and Romania! Our students have the chance to send letters and cards to the Prayer Partners.

Weekly Prayer Team

We also have a parent prayer group that meets weekly to pray for the staff, students and their families. Currently they are meeting on Friday mornings at 9:00 a.m. in the library. All are welcome to join – just check in with the office upon arrival and note the one-way morning traffic.

Prayer Throughout the School

Inside the school, there is prayer time at the beginning of every day for students, whether part of our chapel services or devotion times. Staff meet weekly for devotions and start the year off with prayer. They have also been known to pause and pray during their workday!

Additionally, students in the High School sometimes gather for their own prayer group at lunch times.
