Colleen Neposlan

Choir, Band, Music

I have been involved with Maranatha, off and on, since the fall of 1991, both as a teacher and as a parent, and I have been privileged to serve here in many ways: from teaching Kindergarten and a variety of subjects with multiple grades in my early years to teaching high school and elementary Music and supply teaching in recent years. I love being able to contribute in whatever way is most helpful. As a parent, I have enjoyed volunteering as piano accompanist for the school choirs and being part of the Member Care Committee, welcoming new families and encouraging everyone in our community.

I am married to John Neposlan, pastor of Devonwood Community Church of the Nazarene in Windsor, and am mother to five children – Joshua, Caleb, Lilyana, Andrew, and Rebekah – most of whom have now graduated from MCA. They have all attended Maranatha for elementary and high school. In our church, I have been involved in leadership and service, mostly in leading the Children’s, Youth, and Music ministries.

I enjoy singing, playing multiple instruments, listening to music, watching movies, reading, spending time with my family, doing puzzles, cooking, baking, walking with friends and being a part of women’s Bible studies. I love listening to stories of my children’s adventures in life and how God is working in their lives.

I have many favourite Bible passages – many of them entire chapters. Among them are Philippians 4 and Romans 8. My husband’s and my marriage and life verse is Psalm 37:3-4: “Trust in the LORD and do good; Live in the land and cultivate faithfulness. Delight yourself in the LORD; And He will give you the desires of your heart.”
