My name is Wendy Samuel, and I have been teaching JK at Maranatha Christian Academy since the 2012-2013 school year. My husband, Joel, and I are Pastors at Open Arms Community Church in Windsor and have three wonderful children, who attend the high school here at Maranatha.

If you visit me in my class you would probably hear me sing, watch me dance, see me play ukulele or a combination of the three.

The verse my family has taken as our own is found in Jeremiah 29:11. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” I take this verse with me as I navigate this life knowing I’m not alone; and if things are unclear, I can be confident in the fact that God has a perfect plan for me. I bring this verse to my class as my students are just starting their journey.

My greatest prayer is that I can help my students discover God, who has the perfect plan in place for their lives as well.
