We Have Arrived: God’s Strength in El Tizate
We have arrived in El Tizate, Guatemala. We may be tired, maybe even exhausted, but it has been a good day. We have been blessed with helpful people and joy at the new experiences from the moment we checked in at the American Airlines counter in Detroit, to chillin’ in Dallas, to our final steps to the casa (notice how steep that is).
As we pulled away from the airport in Guatemala City, our luggage piled into one van and the back of a pickup truck, and the students falling asleep in the bus I noticed this phrase on the back of their bus.
“Todo lo puedo en Cristo”
It was a great reminder that “I can do everything in Christ”. Thank you for your prayers for this trip. We are learning a lot about being flexible and about God’s sufficiency in our lives. Tomorrow we climb the hill!
Sorry that there isn’t more tonight, but it is past time for bed. The Casa (house) is already silent. Well, it would be except for the trucks passing by with their air-brakes.
