Guidance Counsellor | English | Social Justice

After 14 years of teaching in public education, I am excited to be joining the Maranatha staff this year. I look forward to getting to know all the students in my role as Guidance Counsellor and to becoming part of the MCA family.

I was born and raised in Essex County and have lived here my entire life, quite unlike my husband James who lived in Hong Kong as a child and grew up in Newfoundland. We are parents to two young boys, Lincoln and Dominic, who are the sweetest and most adorable little guys, but they definitely keep us busy! Being a mom to a toddler and a baby doesn’t leave much free time, but when I get the chance, I do love reading a good novel, cooking and baking, and going for walks with my family every day.

Our family attends Ebenezar Christian Ministries in Essex where my husband and I teach Sunday School together. We love attending a small church where everyone knows each other and treats each other like family.

My favourite verses are from Philippians 4:6-7. “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
