Jerilee Preston

Principal

I have been blessed beyond measure to be part of the Maranatha community for the past 22 years. For most of those years, it has been my joy to share my passion for music with my students, leading the elementary choirs, bands and music classes. In 2020, I became the Principal of the school.

My husband and I have three children attending MCA, and I am grateful every day for the Godly teachers who are influencing their lives. As a family we worship at Banwell Community Church where we are involved in the music ministry.

I love walking, so during the Spring 2020 lockdown we made it our mission as a family to visit every conservation area we could find in Windsor-Essex County. Although there was much eye rolling from the teenage members of our household, we created memories and got fresh air and exercise!

As a musician I have always been drawn to the Psalms. A passage that has been a comfort during the pandemic is Psalm 91. The first two verses are:

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.

I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”
