Renewed and Grateful: Our Last Day in Guatemala
After a week of hard work, we were all happy to have a day of rest and rejuvenation before heading back home. It was a day full of reflection over our experience in this country and in a new culture. It has had an incredible impact to see how God moved in every single one of our classmates. We are so excited to bring this joy home to you all.
We went to a place called Pueblo Real where there were many fun activities to choose from such as peddle carts, a petting zoo, ping pong, pool, hiking trails. We had lots of fun winding down and spending these final moments of the trip in a meaningful way. To finish off our day trip we had a delicious lunch, specially prepared by a talented chef. Praise the Lord for food!
Tonight, we had a final connection group to end off the night similar to how we started the week. First, we had some icebreakers games to start off our time together, followed by worship and a message about relationships given by Blake and Jasmin. To end the night, the Guatemalans prayed for us and our departure. We had a nice emotional goodbye.
By the time this blog comes out we will be on our first flight to Dallas. Please keep us in your prayers and we are very excited to see you soon and share how we’ve been impacted by this incredible experience.
