Farewells & Mixed Emotions!
As the end of our trip nears, the projects are coming to a close. The tech group has made a lot of progress and will be finished at some point tomorrow, as well as the painters and the medical team ( Dr. Liem has high hopes that all the people who want to be seen will be in the time we have left).
We also heard a testimony from Raul, a teacher at the school who spoke about his life before and after becoming a student at CCAF (the school). Bennys made waffles for breakfast, a chicken rice dish for lunch, and a delicious lasagna for supper.
Today was the last day of VBS, where we played a parachute game with the children, had a small sermon about how to pray, and made balloon animals. We also did face painting outside and gave them snacks before saying our goodbyes.
We were also able to put in our orders today for the school merchandise, such as coffee, macadamia nuts, black beans, coffee mugs, and clothing.
For some students, a highlight of the day was a heated game of UNO that went on between the hours of 6:30-9:30 p.m. At the same time, some of us attended a different church, run by Luis. This is the church that MCA students have worked on in the past, and they now have an upstairs, with a children’s ministry.
Tomorrow is the last full day which brings mixed emotions.

*Note from Mr. Fuller: Thank you to those who have generously contributed to help cover the costs of medication. It has been very rewarding to know that Dr. Liem has been able to identify many treatable health concerns. Some of the $2,250 spent on these essential medicines and other treatments has been received, but there is still a need to cover some of the costs. Please pray that God would continue to provide. If you or someone you know would like to contribute, you can e-transfer Jen Grainger, MCA’s bookkeeper, with the note “Mission Trip.”
