Crafting our Story
It’s day seven this week, which has felt long with many different activities and opportunities to think about. This trip will definitely be a strong memory in our lives which we look forward to sharing when we get home. As this trip has progressed one of the outstanding memories was the volcano. This was a hike to remember as we traversed through steep terrain. The views are amazing here.
The next big thing that has had a great impact on all of us has been the praise and worship with the children. When worshipping we can see their faith and see just how much they love and trust God. Back in Windsor we have so much and being here has helped us realize just how much we have received from God. This has helped change our perspective on how we worship and love God. Throughout the trip our eyes have been opened and our faith and love for God is growing.
Today one of the tasks that we focused on was making masks for Friday’s lesson and cutting out fake apples for today’s lesson. Today we focused on the fall where Adam and Eve gave in to Satan’s temptations. The story told about the need for someone to save us which will be tomorrow’s lesson. Some of the staff from the school helped in planning and preparing the lesson and we were able to help present it and interact with the children.
You can see just how much this trip is having an impact on us all. These are only some of the events that are teaching us how to trust and worship God, to be God’s children and good stewards of this Earth and to truly love one another.
