High School May 28-June 1, 2018

Two of our alumni students returned to lead chapel for our students this week.  On Monday Julia Bracewell (class of 2014) a graduate of Tyndale Bible College, raised awareness about the The Acacia Movement she helped form.  She spoke passionately about the injustices facing many women in developing countries and the work they are doing to help.    Please visit their website https://acaciamovement.com/.  She said that this desire to work for change in our world were seeds that were planted during her time at Maranatha.

Today we heard from our second alumni, Alannah Driedger (class of 2017), who spent a year in an outdoor and discipleship program at Columbia Bible College in British Columbia. It was an incredible outdoor experience for her exploring what it means to follow Jesus with every part of her!  For more about this exciting opportunity visit the website here https://www.columbiabc.edu/academics/programs/quest.  Attached is a picture of Alannah in God’s great outdoors.

Breaking news from OFSAA Regionals taking place right now.  Hanna Schroeder ran 12.33 s in the 80mH and qualified for the final with the fastest qualifying  time. Jake Matte ran a clean race in the 100mH his time was 15.59 s and he ended up 4 hundredths of a second out of the final.

Our Exhibition of Learning was a great success.  Thanks to all the parents and friends who came and provided such excellent support!
