High School April 2-6, 2018

Worship started our day today, as it does every Friday.  Our student worship team led us in singing:

This is no performance

Lord I pray it is worship …

More than a song that lasts a moment

I’ll live a life full of honest worship

(Hillsong Young and Free)

In conjunction with business students from the University of Windsor, our Grade 12s collaboratively created various businesses. This past week they went to the University of Windsor to market their products, competing for customers against several other high schools.   Congratulations to Andrew Grainger, Ally Winik, and Mike Vriesema for winning the most attractive display award for their business!  Stay tuned for more news over the next few months as our students grow their business.

Thursday lunch time brought new excitement as the teachers challenged the students to a basketball game.  Seen below, Mr. Kuikman sprints to the basket as the crow cheers on.  The teachers only just won at 35 – 32.

Our “small but mighty” band competed at MusicFest this week, receiving many accolades from the judges and a bronze medal!  They had an opportunity to perform, be adjudicated, participate in a music clinic, and watch bands from other high schools compete.

At our first Badminton tournament on Thursday, Steven Xavier and Peter Botros achieved 8th in men’s doubles and Jacob Canji achieved 4th and                                                                                                                               moves on to WECSSAA!  Congratulations!
