I was born and raised in a Christian family in what is now considered Lakeshore. It appears that teaching is in my blood as I come from a family of teachers.
I began teaching at the age of 18 when I was hired as a Red Cross First Aid Instructor for the City of Windsor. Shortly after graduating from the University of Windsor, I married my husband Bill, had two sons Alex & Wes, and enjoyed every minute of being a stay-at-home mom. When Wes was 2, a friend invited me to attend a Bible study called Bible Study Fellowship. It was here that I grew a deep desire to study God’s Word. I attended BSF for over 10 years digging into God’s Word while taking on various leadership roles.
After this time, I felt God leading me to take on the job of developing a curriculum for our church’s Junior High Sunday morning program. My husband and I have run this program together since 2006 and love being able to share God’s Word with these amazing kids each Sunday.
Now I find myself at MCA and have the privilege of being able to combine teaching and God’s Word in the same setting! How cool is that?!
In my spare time, I enjoy various activities such as: tennis, softball, kayaking, biking, baking, gardening and reading.
One of my favourite Bible passages is: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11)
